Condoms are only 77% effective in preventing pregnancy. Birth control pills (when used correctly) are about 99% effective. Some women do get pregnant while on the pill. The only measure that is 100% effective is continuous abstinence. If you want more information check out

They will have a ton of information about different types of birth control so you can be better informed. However, I do recommend the use of condoms. Pregnancy isn't the only side effect of sex.
Hope that helps. Take care.

The pill is a very effective way of preventing pregnancy when used properly.

However, the most important part of your birth control regimen is that you trust it to work for you. Waiting for your period to come in anxiety is no way to live life, and it makes some people feel better to use the pill and condoms just to be extra-safe for their own well-being.

If you trust the pill, know all the side effects, and take it properly, good. The pill has an effectiveness of about 98% when taken properly, though, so be aware that there is a chance of pregnancy still occuring. Using condoms in addition to the pill will decrease your chances of pregnancy even more.

If u do not want a baby take the pill and use a condom!!!! Thats so u could be more protected then just takin the pill without a backup plan!!! Mostly though birth controls are not 100 % Positive though!!

I was on the pill for 3 years, and i got sick, and 6 weeks later i found out that i was pregnant. I wouldn't change it for the world, but it was a huge shock. Any birth control is only 99.9% effective. so if you really don't want to fall pregnant, use as many forms as possible.

The pill is extremely effective in preventing pregnancy. A condom is recommended for protection against disease.

birth control pills helps reduce pregnancy, but it doesn't prevent it 100%.
although, it does control your menstration cycle,
which i can always tell when my period is coming and i get less cramps.
in my experience, the pills have been effective and i'm been on the pills for 4 years.
just make sure you take them every day because if u skip one... you can get pregnant if you have sex on the day you skip.

If taken correctly they are 99.9% effective. But you have to take them at the same time every day. Missing even one can cause you to ovulate and therefore become pregnant.
