The original song 'Free' can be found on the album '1999' and is the first 'slow' song I can remember Prince using his 'man' voice on...lol Great song!
And you don't have to like Prince, but if you've never heard his first 8 or 9 albums, ending with 'LoveSexy', then you haven't a clue as to his musical genius. He was turning down major record deals as early as age 15 or 16, because he wanted complete studio control and held out until he got it. He was the first artist, I knew of, to play every instrument on his albums, up until '1999'/'Purple Rain'. He sang about race, God, sexuality. He lost me during most of the 90's though and hasn't found me yet. But, the pop music, the rap music, the rock music, the r&b we listen to today would not be as they are if it weren't for the obvious Prince influence. He's one of the greats..! I just wish he's get back together with The Revolution! Wenday & Lisa! Remember them? They're STILL making music together. They do the music/score for the new NBC excellent tv show 'HEROES'. ;-)

Here's a transcript of the skit. It sounds like they are not parodying any one song, but mixing up various Prince and Beyonce songs.

Um, i do no longer understand of any duos he has carried out, yet there are countless songs Prince has recorded with lady vocalists as history singers. yet another poster pronounced pink Rain--that's a stable occasion. the only that popped into my head became "Cream"--no longer almost as stable or as widely used as "pink Rain," tho. "Diamonds and Pearls" and "you get carry of the look" additionally function lady singers. wish this helps! For a checklist of "maximum suitable of" prince songs, inspect the checklist below. perhaps it will jog year memory.
