My x husband did, we were coming home from a party and he was so drunk i was going less than 5 miles an hour, as he said i was going to fast at 20. We were almost home but i had do cross a railroad crossing. I tried to go as slow as possible I made him stick his head out the window in case he got sick. Just as I hit the first bump of the track that was it he went. He threw up acutally inside of the door of the car where the window opening was. I was so pissed. You know how hard it is to get out of your car when it is just somewhere you can see but inside my window. The heat from the Florida sun did not make my car smell all that great either for a while. I hosed my door off that night but made him do a better cleaning in the morning.

Yes and (damn it) it was my own car...............
I found that using ordinary upholstery cleaner and by using a special cleaner and de-odouriser for clearing up cat/dog pee, poo or vomit from upholstery (available from all good petshops - the ones we used were made by Simple Solutions and Shaws) you could do it your self quite easily. You might have to do it a few times, but it will come out eventually and the smell will go. You can also use one those smell neutraliser air fresheners to help get rid of the stink.
PS. The above is also good for clearing up kids puke, cat pee, spilt milk, and McDonalds super-thick milkshake.........all of which have been spilt in my car at some stage or other.
Attached is a link to Petsmart for the Simple Solutions spray I mentioned above.

As an EMT, people puke in my ambulance all the time! For your situation, the first step is to decontaminate the area. Spray an antiseptic chemical, such as Lysol(R), to kill the pathogens. The next step is to remove the stain. Try carpet / upholstery stain removal chemicals, such as OxyClean(R). If the stain will not come out...its time for professional cleaning. The odor will go away when the vomit is completely out.

Unfortunately, I puked in a friend's car many moons ago when I was drunk on Firewater. It stained red, and no upholstery cleaner would clean it up. I had to use fabric paint to cover the red stain!

No, I only get travel sick when I'm travelling by bus. I do remember when I was a kid, my grandad had this metallic green ford escort. Every time he took me out in it, I puked all over the back seats.

No, but we had a pregnant dog that did. We just cleaned it out and left the windows down for awhile so it aired out.
