I think the world is in pretty sad shape. I am a nurse and it's so interesting how I have witnessed the decline of human moralism. I interview patients as I assess them and I am shocked at the way they live and all of the things they abuse their bodies with. There was a time if a patient came in under the age of 50; you knew they pretty much just had some minor thing wrong and would be a easy patient to care for, not now. The majority of under 50 year olds I get are so hooked on drugs, they come in seeking whatever IV given pain medication they can get and they all say the same thing " push it fast....it feels better that way ", The elderly that come in are often neglected by their family and see more of their friends than they do their own kids. We use to cherish our elders, now we treat them like a burden. I say all this because I have so much contact with the public and I see the downward spiral of humanity, but I know there are still alot of good folks who do care about themselves and others. I still say the one and only true answer to the state of this world is GOD.

Too much complacency. We need reform in America especially, if we don't stand out and take care of our own needs and politics we are headed for disaster. We spend billions on defense and donations and loans to other countries while we have too many homeless, hungry and we must have medical and insurance reform just like Bill and Hillary promised in their running campaign promises back in the day. With the computer age we are much closer and learned as well which is a good thing, but the bad languages and styles and me first generation is across the globe. I hear of more and more people here asking about how to immigrate to Canada and I don't blame them. The standard is we all seem to live each day as it comes and if a global disaster strikes I am not sure of any nations future. It is possible right now that America is so profit bound it overlooks its own citizens to ship overseas for more profits as we go without, think about it. The oil companies and large corporations rule and if you don't think so, look at the 2 party political system here and see who their largest contributors are.
