I stopped playing a few years ago and mostly collected a lot of rarer and older cards mostly all in good to excellent conditions. I honestly have at least 8,000 cards ranging from Beta to the Judgement/Torment block. I even have some Bet edition dual lands and a Mox diamond. Most of thecards I got from friends who stopped playing and wanted to give their collection away. Any ideas. I even have a lot of Tournament only Gold stamped cards.

If your cards are generally in vg/nm condition, you can sell some of them on websites like cardshark.com or blackborder.com. I believe the cardsharks system has you put in your cards, but works as a middle-man (e.g. you send your cards to those that purchase them). Blackborder.com has a buy list, but you sell your cards to them, and then they sell them to their customers.

I'd get that Mox Diamond graded. Graded Power 9 sell for alot. eBay is a good place to sell your cards. Also, try selling them at a local card store. You'll probably sell some between the owner and the players. I'd buy the latest Scrye because it has an up to date price guide and will help you ascertain the value of your collection.

If you're not interested in using auction sites like eBay you may want to do some research to find local or even not so local groups. I'd start with googling Magic the Gathering and see what clubs, or groups you can find there maybe contact the admin or if they have a posting site and list some info there.
Good luck
