Has any onther non-Aussie noticed that on TV and movies their accents are getting stronger all the time?

It didn't use to bother me, but now this overdoing it with stupid accent is plain irritating to me. How about you, do you feel the same?

Pains me way more when they spend a year or two in America and come home sounding like a bl**dy Yanks!
