Cigarettes you endanger the lives of people around you. At least with other drugs they only affect you. And the health reason can't really be it, drugs such as mushrooms and weed are "better" for you than alchohol and tobacco. Has anyone ever beat their children/wife up after smoking up? Why is tobacaco seen as so socially acceptable, as well as alchohol?

My sentiments exactly. If cigarettes and alcohol r killing so many by inhaling smoke and drunk drivers why r they being sold legally? Perhaps it has something to do with who is profitting from the tobacco and alcohol industry, Whereas with drugs only the drug cartel is raking in the money. I do not condone the use of hard core drugs, but if cigarettes were totally banned, perhaps it would be easier to quit the habit.

It's strictly a matter of legal versus illegal. And that's all about politics and economics. Alcohol and prescription drugs and cigarettes are all well-regulated and make tons of money for large companies and the government. Street drugs are something else. If there was a way to regulate and make money on them, there wouldn't be a war on drugs.

People don't go to war over tabacco. Alcohol is generally tolerated in western society. But drugs have been screwing everyone in the world worst than anything except Nazism, and Communism.

They say that cigarrettes are the only product that when used properly cause bad health. As for alcohol, it has been shown that in many ways it can actually be good for you when used properly. For this reason the longest lived people in the world are light beer drinkers.

As for me, I do not see living for a long time to be the ultimate goal in life. I personally avoid bad health habits but I think that our government deteriorates our dignity and enjoyment of life too much to worry about their making it last as long as possible. I don't want cradle to grave security. And I don't like it when people that do not even know me tell me they care about me enough to protect me from myself.

If what you really want to do is **** and moan about second hand smoke, come right out and do so, you might even accidentally know what you're talking about. Don't, however, try to compare the evils of cigarettes and booze to the deadly effects heroine, cocaine, and meth. In that respect, you ain't got a clue.

The simple answer to your question is MONEY, and the ability of all western governments to make MONEY, by placing a thing call TAX on all that use them.

At the moment western governments hav'ent found a way to control drugs,so are unable to apply TAX, which in turn generates MONEY.

I relatively have never been a Catholic, yet i replaced into raised a Baptist. the extensive distinction I see between Baptists and Jehovah's Witnesses is that Witnesses are Bible-based, while Baptists are custom-based (based on the traditions of adult men). For Witnesses, theory interior the Lord Jesus Christ finally ends up in a residing faith that embraces all factors of existence. For us, theory in Christ isn't basically something to "placed on" on Sunday, and forget with reference to something of the week. or maybe although I had until eventually now study the call "Jehovah" in my King James Bible, the Baptist Church never taught me the excellent value which that call bears. particularly, it taught me the unbiblical doctrine of the Trinity.

what about caffiene? it's addictive and can have a lot of negative effects on your body, and they sell it on every street corner, to teenagers and even children, there's no age limit to when you can start damaging your body! not to mention all of those "energy" drinks, like the new one called cocaine! I can't believe it's legal to sell a drink called cocaine, that's just wrong
