I've never heard of that fear but this gives me the opportunity to share the weird thing that happens to me.
I have a fear of driving off a cliff. On the curvy mountain roads around where I live, there are these big drop offs. Hundreds of feet. I feel like I'm fighting my arms from turning the wheel. Like the cliff is pulling on my arms. It's really scary and I avoid mountain driving but I'll still do it if I have to. Maybe as I'm falling we'll cross paths. lol.

Hey you got my curiosity up. I didn't find the name of your fear but I found a site where another guy has the same condition and they discuss it. It's a big page and i didn't read it all. Maybe it's named there somewhere.

Phobias are hard to deal with! I just recently suffered from one I didnt even know I had. I thought my biggest phobia was spiders, and I am pretty horrified by spiders, but I just realized I have another fear of Spontanieous combustion,.. when I first learned about it I seriously thought I was going insane, my mind was messing with me so much! So, your phobia I think, prolly sounds pretty normal compared to mine. lol. But, I've felt what ur talking about before, and I think it comes from dizziness. because the sky is just so large, I mean, larger then anything people even really realize. and it can become very intimidating. Im not sure what you can do about it tho? maybe just keep remembering falling into the sky is totally impossible.

I have my own "strange" phobias and no one person can say any of them are truly "strange" in my opinion. Fear is different to each person whether it be an actual risk or self inflicted.
If it's a phobia that disrupts your quality of life I would suggest seeking professional help.
One thing to think about, if it is a physical feeling not just the fear of, you might need to see a doctor (MD) in case there is some sort of inner ear imbalance or some other cause of vertigo.

It is a phobia and your not the only one who suffers from it! There are even people who think the sky is going to fall on them! And they hold their hands up in the air to prevent it! Don't worry you wont fall into the sky if you buy these special shoes I'm selling! they have rubber suction caps on the soles!!!! $375 a pair! LOL. Have a good day!

I think you are a person who creates their own reality to the extent that falling into the sky becomes a possibility.
Really, that's a beautiful fear, as it makes you a dreamer... dreamer's have huge potential in this world.
Laugh madly at clouds. It may help.
My big fear is that someday I'll believe that I CAN'T fall into the sky...

Sounds like you may have a little inner ear problem which gives you a feeling of imbalance...and fear.
...I get that feeling from swinging in a lawn chair....
Have no real fear though, because the day you fall into the sky will not be a good one....'which could happen if a nuclear bomb hits....for the moment just don't star gauze

I think I have the opposite. If I lay down on my back, I can feel all 7 miles of atmosphere pressing on me and I get short of breath til I have to sit of or turn over. It's not a phobia, just a weird feeling.

no... is it because your blood feels funny when you look into the vast spaceness of the sky? like a person looking down whos afraid of heights, maybe you saw too many ballons floating into the air and exploding as a kid, maybe you kno about god just picking people up off the ground and that sounds a little freaky

I've never heard of this fear, but I'm sure you're not the only one with it. Besides everyone has irrational fears. I'm scared to death of escalators. I'm afraid I'll get stuck. I just avoid them. Just don't look into the sky. Take care.

You can't "fall" up. But I do understand phobias. I used to be afraid that i would get hit by a car while standing in the middle of the road. I mean I would be just standing there and all these cars would be whizzing by and I thought what if one of these hit me? agggh!!!
