There's something in the universe called critical mass, and let's say critical mass is 1. If all the matter and energy in the universe added up is exactly equal to 1, the universe would be flat and would eventually stop expanding, remaining stationary forever. If all the matter and energy is less than 1, the universe would be a sphere and would eventually collapse on itself. If we're above critical mass, the universe would be (as odd as it sounds) shaped like a saddle, and will expand forever.
At last count, I believe the universe was thought to be slightly above critical mass. Of course, nobody can go out and check where the edge of the universe is and what's behind it, and because the universe is currently expanding so quickly, we'll never see the edge.

Well from the best I can tell, the latest science says they can not find an end to the universe yet. But the big bang theories indicate an expanding universe which will theoretically collapse back on itself one day so based on that theory it does have limits just very big ones.
I am not an expert , but I would like to think that there are other universes in space and time but then you begin to get into theories of dimensional realities as opposed to other universes.

We just don't know.
Because our entire lives we have to live with limits in our world, it is really hard to imagine an unending space.
So, if there is no end to space, that is what we have designated as infinity.
