If Bush had been President during the past world wars, he would have been praised and glorified. Timing is everything. My questing is what do all these left wingers want? I think they'd rather be fighting here. Don't they realize that every time they say one bad word about Bush, they're giving ammunition to Al-Quaeda and all the other terrorists around the world. Even if I hated Bush, until this was all over, I would never say one bad word about him.My country comes first.

Well looks like you opened a can of worms with this question.
I don't hate bush, as with some others I dislike some of the decisions he has made.
But this is true of several other presidents, and literally all politicians.
I just have to ask myself could I do any better, or could I have known the outcome of a vote.
Would things be better had I voted differently, I seriously doubt it.
We have 2 partys working to tear each other apart.
If there is a democrat in office the republicans trash whatever they can to try to prove the democrats tear apart what us republicans have worked so hard to build up, vice versa.
No matter who wins the war is not over among themselves.
Ultimately it is us the victims who suffer.
I say fight to get you guy in office, but when the votes are all counted back off and do what you can to help the country as a whole.
We will always have blo-jo's, Watergate's, and all the other stuff the opposing party stirs up, imagine if all the dirty little secrets were blown out of proportion like the monica case.
If that were the case I think we would be saying Bush is not that bad, in fact I think he would be reelected.
I thank God most of the big things are swept under the carpet.

1., something like 50% were voting for Bush, right?
2., Hate? Is this the right word?
3., Clinton handled problems succesfully (he studied and brought knowledge into his work), but got knocked out with a blo* jo* empeachment. On the other side, there is a former alcoholic, who didn't caught Osama as he promised, instead let him slip away. Plus ignoring international community - instead of uniting the country he is using all rhetorical means to divide it (his vacation, the lack of competence, Hurricane and his responding to it; health care, ....to long is the list.
4., Values were used to get ride of Clinton and values were used in order to paralize the people, science community and newspapers.
5., America might be strong, because of him. But who denies, that America could be stronger with a different policy? More and More people get the idea, that Bush is not really a competent leader in times of need.

When judging Bush as a president, try not only to look at a war, started through deception, a failing economy, a majorly increased deficit, and many other issues everyone knows about. Look at the little things also. Things like no longer testing school lunches for food poisoning such as salmonella, and increased level of allowable arsenic in our drinking water, which was then reversed and cost millions to fix. Little things like that which tend to slip past the public because the media deems them not worth telling us about. No you are not the only one to not hate bush, but hey some people like Hitler.

It just shows that you don't understand what is going on. Talk to a liberal who actually knows what is going on. They can explain things from a different point of view. If you really understand what he has done and still like him, then that's okay. That is why this country is great.
I would advise that you read news on the BBC website. Also, be careful what liberals that you talk to, many of them just jump on the anti-Bush bandwagon without knowing anything. They will give you a bunch of rhetoric that is exaggeration of facts.
I used to think he was an average president, but I have read some things and talked to people. Let's just say that my mind has changed drastically.
Good luck

Poor Bush, so many people hate him. They're mean and unjust, he's not that bad! -- Just extending your argument a bit.
What do you think about a government that changes the law to cover up its own crimes? Here is the latest example: Bush's Justice Department wants to prevent suspects from telling their own lawyers how they were interrogated.
"The Bush administration has told a federal judge that terrorism suspects held in secret CIA prisons should not be allowed to reveal details of the "alternative interrogation methods" that their captors used to get them to talk."
Do you think this is an effort to hide illegal conduct by the government?? "i dont think hes that bad of a president..."

I don't hate Bush, but I cannot support his policies and breaking of the many laws and using lies to create a violent war that now has no end in sight. He is extremely egotistical and lacks compassion in his politics. Civil rights??? Health care??? The last items on his list.
It's not hate, it's about principles!

I don't hate him. I'm scared to death of him. I'm scared that he'll send my children over to be slaughtered in his unjust war, I'm scared that if I say anything negative about him I'll wind up at Gitmo, I'm scared that I can no longer afford health insurance for my family since he took office and I'm scared that this country will never be able to regain the prestige and admiration that people around the world had for America and the American people before he took office.
