What songs have left an impression on you? Should there be more songs which reflect social issues?

Yes I could. The songs that I like to listen to are gospel or spiritual. They are the ones that up lift me and gives me inspiration. Social issues will come and go. But God on the other hand is forever.

I could never live without music in my life. I, I would probably die. All the songs from my choir have left a definite impression on me, in particular The Last Farewell, Pat A Pan, Carol of the Bells, Sail Away, My name Is Music (god yes...), Nigra Sum (it's in Latin, not racist english, and it means I Am Black. one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace this earth...), Dance to Your Daddie, In The Beginning, One Song, Mary Had A Little Blues, Someone, Magnificat, Think On Me (by Mary, Queen of Scots, written as she was awaiting execution), Here's to Song, Mass of the Children, Mozart's Requiem... god, there's so many... Vitamin C's Friends Forever (even though by now, I absolute HATE that song, because I know how untrue it is, and it hurts), and... yeah, music's my life. As for songs which reflect social issues, I really don't know. It would provide an avenue for opinions to be expressed, but as far as whether there should be more, eh, I don't care LOL *wanders off singing Dance To Your Daddie*

I could never live without music. My life is empty without it. The songs that have made the most difference in my life are: Follow Dave Matthews' songs "Grey Street" with "Dancing Nancies". Grey Street, to me, is a song about a woman who feels trapped within her life and her own feelings about herself, and wants to burn it down to the ground and start anew. Follow that with Dancing Nancies, which means to me that the woman (or person) is questioning everything about her existence, and is even maybe comtemplating disappearing altogether, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. "Look up at the sky"
