Hello All,

I am a communication studies major and am doing a presentation on the topic of co-habitation prior to being married.

I want to give an unbiased presentation and just give the pro's and con's of the issue... but am having a very hard time finding and sites or organizations supporting co-habitation before marriage.

Does anyone know of any sites or research that do support it?? What are your thoughts and what not?

Thanks for your help!

if you marry someone you've never lived with then how will you know what kind of habits they have? it's like lieing in the first date, what's the point? they're just going to figure out what kind of person you are eventually and if they don't like you then that's their problem, but if you live with someone first and you don't mind that they leave the toilet seat up or don't put their pajamas away, then you can definatly marry them. I was a roomate and just friends for 3 months before I started dating the man who is now my husband, we were great friends, even better room mates, a wonderful couple and now have a happy marriage, only 2 years in but things are great =)

Look if you can't live w/ her before yer married, you won't be able to live married very long. All her faults will be apparent, and you can make the decision on whether she is potentially worth 1/2 of all your $.

its quite acceptable these days for couples to live together before marriage.

i have three children and they all live with their other halves. im not sure if any of them are ready for marriage but when the time is right im sure they will tie the knot.

if i could it again i would choose to live with someone before i married. its only when you live with someone 24/7 that you truely get to see the real person.

Why would any one support it? The only people you will find who support it are the people doing it.
