engine still ran. no power to glow plugs performance impaired bump started to get back home is it something i can look at my self a solenoid perhaps or is it a visit to a dealer unfortunately my previous experience of main dealer is not good any ideas gratefully received or recommendations i live in aylesbury bucks many thanks.

You'll need to find a garage with the correct diagnostic equipment, to plug into the on-board diagnotics and find out the fault code.
This is not restricted to main dealers - find a local independent Land-Rover or BMW specialist (the TD4 had a BMW engine).

you might be able to get it fixed by a mechanic or do it your self

give it back to the army or the farmer and get a proper car
