In our Social Science class, we used to discuss who are better managers and leaders. It was found out that women are good in managing. It is because women are better in managing the budget. Women are also charming that they can get what they want without being so blunt and bossy unlike men. Women are also proved to be very good in interpersonal skills which is a great advantage. Meanwhile men are proved to be very effective leaders because they are quite tough and reasonable in decision-making.

Men leading men is best, because men tend to not take work criticism personally. Women leading men is ok, as long as she can listen and doesn't try to "control" in the same way as men, because simply put, men do not follow women the same way they follow men. She can lead, and lead effectively, but don't try to strongarm like a man would. Doesn't work.

Women leading women is always a fricken nightmare.

I think that gender doesn't matter. I think that it really depends on the person. I have worked with a good male manager and a good female manager.

Some managers (male or female) are very effective and other managers (male or female) suck at leadership

Gender doesn't matter here - competence and communication skills do.

I think that mostly woman are better managers because they take a more team approach, in my personal experience. However, it is unfair to base a decision on gender alone. Both sexes have their strong points, and their weak ones.

You do not think like that in the modern work environment. Unless you maintain train equipment in...say, Burkina Fasso.
