It doesn't matter Nina. If the law passes, the same thing will happen there that happens in California. When the people pass a controversial law like that here, this is what happens. A judge will claim the new law is unconstitutional. Thus voiding all our votes and making the new law void. In other words. It'll never happen. That's why I quit voting.

I do not live in Arizona, but I think that people need to speak one language for business and government. In the US, it's English. I do not begrudge other languages being taught in public schools after hours, like they do here in western Montana for Russians and Hmongs.
But, let's face facts, we speak English here.
If go to Mexico I want to have some knowledge of Spanish so I know what's being said around me. It is crazy to go to a foreign country and expect them to change for you!
I hope the proposition passes. I'll watch for the outcome.

No. Imagine if countries were Americans live force them never to speak their English.
At one time the term American meant white people only and many have forgotten this.
America has improved but we have to avoid in being closed minded.

If you mean, people are only allowed to speak English -- it can't do that as long as it's part of the USA. First Amendment protections.
If you mean, all govt laws and policies will be written only in English, then it's merely a stupid and childish idea. Laws are written based on the population.
If the majority of the population happens to speak another language other than English, do you want them passing a law saying that all govt documents will only be in that other non-English language? If not, then those in the current (English) majority may want to think about the precedent they're setting.

Since when is being bilingual a negative attribute. If you can speak more than one language you can travel more and obtain higher paying loftier jobs.
