Why didn't we all ask this question to M/s More, Chappell & Dravid when Ganguly was dropped from the test team after two useful knocks in Karachi against Pakistan on a difficult wicket against a strong pace attack.

Ganguly as the captian has much better track record compared to any captian in last 15 years.
Even the master Sachin bucklled under the tremendous responsiblities and pressures of a captian,
Ganguly being a left handed batsman makes it difficult for the bowler to adjust to the change
giving us the a edge over the other team.

Ganguly is the past as far is the indian cricket is concerned. Every cricket has a shelf life , he has gone past his. If performance speaks for itself then he's least suited to represent India on the international or domestic stage. his county cricket performance, his domestic performance in the challengers series says for itself that ganguly is past his prime and needs to be sidelined until he can pull his act together and again become the scorer which he once was. all what he is capable of today is do pepsi ads which also wont last long.

Too late to bring him back. If he has to be in the squad - it would be only as a captain. Make him the coach instead.
He should be in the test squad however. In the last test he played at Karachi, he played a 100 times better than Dravid and Tendulkar put together. The sad part is, he was dropped when his batting had just started to click again.
What else can you expect from mothafcukers like Sharad Pawars?

Even before he was removed from Captaincy Gangullhy was not in good form. After he was replaced as Captain his form further deteriorated. His performance after that has been pathetic and with such a form, he does not deserve any place in the Indian Team,
