Thery are determined to take Christ out of Christ mas...It is becoming such a commercial holiday that few prople ever observe the real meaning of it...And those who do spend more time on the commercial side than on the spiritual side.....If one dosen't beleive in the birth of Jesus as being what is important they oughta not celebrate it at all.

Big bucks in the Christmas holiday shopping. Also, many people begin their Christmas shopping in November, especially the day after Thanksgiving.

Yes, it's sad just how much they've commercialized Christmas isn't it? Even the tradition of waiting to put up Christmas decorations in the stores until the day after Thanksgiving has fallen by the wayside. I refuse to buy anything having to do with Christmas until after Thanksgiving. I also keep recycling my decorations so I don't keep buying new ones.

What are people supposed to do...say on your mark get set go the minute Thanksgiving is over and get ready for Christmas? Just get over it and have Thanksgiving...it's the 23rd.

I believe our perception of time is directly related to the amount of time we have been an adult. At 18, a year is an eternity. At 50, it's a blink. Why would they advertise Thanksgiving? There's no money in it, unless you're selling travel tickets, or maybe turkeys.

You are right, it is all about commercialism of the holidays and money making....
...I love Christmas, but liked it better when it was a more religious holiday, and not just a shopping spree!
..at least they waited till after the 4th, Ha!
