Dry idea, unscented. I have a 13 year old and he reeks without it. Boys that age get stinky fast!!! When they use the scented stuff it just gets worse. ugh.

Well its the sweat that makes you smell bad... But then its the scent that hides it and makes you smell more attractive in a way..
But why hide the problem when you can block the source?
Anti-pirsprint blocks the pores so the sweat can't get out and make you smell bad... It may sound bad but there are pros and cons to this... Research has the aluminium in AP causes breast cancer which men can also have, it blocks the pore so where does all the waste and the sweat go?
AP is not for people who have kidney problems or problems where your body cant deal with too much waste... What ever the hell thats called (Renal Failure or something... )
However there are natural methods which I never heard of or tried... Until today.. In this question...
And there are also deoderants which doesn't have AP but has scents on them, to me they don't really work.. They hide the smell sort of... But they still leave wet sweat marks on my shirt so when I raise my arm there are two wet spots.. ha...
I gave you like 1/4 or maybe half the information... Now you make the choice... Remember when picking your deodorant, or picking anything.. Get the facts and choose what you want... Are you aiming for the health part? Scent or the smell part? Looks? Staining or Not staining? Clear or Mark? Etc...
Biggest issue I think you need to worry about is AP or no AP and a good scent (which are easy to come by) and the health issue maybe..

I would recommend staying away from heavy duty roll-on or spray deodorants due to the harsh chemical composition. Simple water and a mild soad such as Ivory Soap used in regular daily cleansing should be a sufficient deodorant for a youngster.
Cheers!

How young? However the best deodrant I would say is either a crystal deodrant which is an all natural crystal you can buy from pharmacies and supermarkets it is white in appearance and has a smooth texture and the way to use it is wet one end and rub it on the skin so as a residue is left behind or maybe a time release hypoallergenic which only activates on the skin when required.

1. Make sure you can afford it, and it's not outrageously over-priced. If you're young, then your friends probably won't be able to tell if it's a cheap deodorant or a very expensive one.
2. Make sure you're not allergic to it.
3. Make sure it smells nice. If you like, it can be an anti-perspirant too, to stop you from sweating.

Right Guard, Degree, Old Spice, Red Zone, Arrid, just make sure your not allergic to them...if you break out, stop using that brand and try a different one.

Use the brand called Tom's of Maine or Nature's Gate. There is no aluminum in any of these natural products and they are not too expensive.
