Seriously, from what I've heard, no women think leg hair is in any way attractive. So why don't they shave? I don't (because I know for a fact everyone will assume I'm homosexual) but I think I'd look better without leg hair!

Um...you answered your own question. It is a fashion faux pa amoung men because hair, in the male society, still represents masculinity. However with the on going meterosexual look, more and more men are grooming, so I guess maybe the whole hair thing won't be much of a faux pa. I just remembered there are cases where men shave just about everything especially if there athletes like swimmers, runners, and divers. Something about hair in these sports adds more drag when trying to speed up.

Of course guys can shave their legs...I understand many atheletes do, and others just like the bare look. The assumption that everyone will think you are gay may be a bit strong, however. If you are more worried about that than the fact you would like to shave, then it may not be a thing for you to do, though. Take it from a girl, however, shaving is a pain to do all the time over such a large area. Imagine prickles as it grows out underneath your jeans! And your lady will not like the feeling of the stubble against her legs, either....so be really committed to doing it often. Personally, I don't mind a man with body hair as long as he is clean and well groomed. But isn't your own perceptions more important than anyone else's?

I have known a couple of male body-builders who shaved their legs, arms, & torsos.
Also, I have heard that some male swimmers will shave their legs to reduce water resistance (drag). I believe I have heard the same thing about some male cyclists -- to cut down wind resistance (although this one may be a myth).

Anyway, I think you'll find it's not as unusual as you might think.

However, having said that, I also think that most women realize that a majority of men are going to have some amount of hair on their legs. I don't keep track of this sort of thing, but I'm sure there are many good examples out there of highly desired men who also happen to have hair on their legs... Maybe Sean Connery, or Tom Selleck?

Sure you can do it, but let me warn you, its much more time consuming than shaving your face. You are lucky that society does not think you have to shave your legs. If I did not have to do it to conform, I would never shave my legs. It takes a lot of time, you almost always cut yourself somewhere and bleed, it causes a rash especially the top near your private parts, and you have to do it every day in the summertime if you wear shorts. How can you want to do it? If you do and you need a reason, say you are a swimmer, they shave all their body hair off. But I am telling you, don't do it.

I had a boyfriend a few years ago and he shaved his legs... his brother did too - they owned it! It was not homosexual at all - it was because they both hated having hair on their bodies. It really didn't bother me or any of our friends. If someone cares THAT much about your leg hair (whether you shave it or not) then they really don't love you for who you are.
Shave it already! :)

I think men should have hair on their legs. I can't really tell you why it just doesn't seem normal for men to have bare legs. Not to mention do you realize how big of a pain in the *** shaving your legs is??? To stay completely smooth I have to shave every single day!!! Sometimes twice a day. It sucks ***!!!!!

Can if you want. My husband doesn't have a lot of hair. His chest is bare, his head almost is & his legs do not really have a lot either. I don't think anyone has ever thought he was homosexual because of it though. Some men have a lot of hair, some don't.

Sorry dude, you'd better leave it. I look at legs on guys. If I don't see hair, I'm thinking he's a gay-wade. I love men with hair on the legs. To me it represents the man part of his being. I love it. It's more mannish.
