It was really spiteful of Louis Walsh to send Ashley home. He has far more potential than Robert. He is just Karaoke for BIlly Ocean.Thats the whole point of X Factor. To find a unique artist surely, not the one who imitates another artist the best?

Ashley went because Louis wanted Simon to start losing his acts. No way is Robert more deserving of a place there than Ashley, it's a travesty. Then again this is Louis who sacrificed Maria last year to keep the wailing Conways, simply because they were irish so what does he know about talent?
I hope Ben wins, I can't understand all the fawning over Leona, she's no different from most other female singers and doesn't entertain me in the way Maria and Brenda did last year

Ashley had a bad attitude which is what got up Louis (& the public's) noses. Louis would have known he made the right decision after seeing Ashley's reaction. Earlier when he got his comments he had not thanked anyone & then when he was voted off he said something very childish like don't worry Simon he's just voting the competition off. I also think Robert is very good & could even win.

Ashley deserved to be voted out last night as he was dreadful. The song was boring and it just didn't entertain me. Robert has stage presence and Ashley is too big for his boots! I don't think we'll hear the last of Ashley as Simon Cowell has probably got something up his sleeve for him. I think the banter between Simon and Louis is great and really gets the audience going however, as much I respect Simon he is a bad loser and Louis loves it!

Ashley's performance last night was dreadful, it was ear splitting. only the last 20-30 seconds of the song was actually bare able.
last week he forgot a few lines, no big deal his performance was brill, but doesn't it say something when he is in the bottom 2 two weeks in a row. if people are not voting for him now then they are not gonna go out and buy his albums etc if he releases any. he is a sweet lad but he obviously was not good enough to stay, not that i think Robert was great either but last night Ashley was the worst.

What does it matter, he wasn't the best by far this week, but having said that he has already got a recording contract through Simon Cow-well. I think Ashley's remarks were disgusting, saying that Simon has the strongest team and that Louis voted him off because he was the strongest competition. His memory really is bad. Who was it that saved him last week? Louis. Enough said

Ashley was a cocky teenager who thought the public owed him something. Robert was humble, honest and hard working. People vote for personality as well as talent. Don't forget - Ashley was too lazy to learn the lyrics last week while Robert pulled off one of Simon's favourite performances.

To be honest I dont think that we have heard the last of Ashley..simon cowell will not let talent like Ash disappear, I do think that this xfactor has gone to an all time low and the only thing that the three judges can do to lift ratings is to sl*g each other offlast night they were really nasty to all the contestants,.Rod Stewart said last week that the American x factor were more talented than the lot we have this year..to be honest look at the lot that were left the only two that has an inch of talent is Eton rd and Leona (but I think Leona will get bigheaded as the weeks go by)

His performance was below par on both occasions last night.

Ashley's made it clear time and again he wants to sing r'n'b and soul; when he's out of his comfort zone he can't cut it. He's a male model by profession and X-Factor may have seemed a short cut to success in music. Whatever, Simon Cowell will doubtless still sign him up.

I agree that it was a shame that Ashley was voted off before he reached his full potential...Louis did say that he was going to judge them on performance on the night and who wanted it more...think Robert showed his desperation. Not very keen on him at all, and when he speaks, like Frank bleeding Bruno...but knew Louis would vote Ashley off....he appeared too laid back and think Louis thought he wasn't bothered...plus he wanted to get back at Simon....Revenge will be sought...yay

i personally can't see ray going on much more, after all he hasn't adapted his style at all really has he? and for once the MacDonald brothers actually sang in tune, its just a shame that Ashley had ONE bad night (which wasn't even his fault as he didn't pick the song) and look what happens. i hope Leona wins
