I know it's bad not to drink enough, but what about too much? Does that rinse your system of certain chemicals, or anything like that?

Drinking too much water can remove eloctrolites which are the things that cause synapses. The slowing of synapses can cause muscle weakness, shaking, things like that. When that happens all you need to do it eat something salty which will help the body retain more of the water so you do not feel as weak.

It is actually possible to drink too much water.
You would have to drink a lot for it to have a negative effect - but it does happen. It dilutes the sodium levels in your bloodstream - particularly if you live in a very hot climate and are drinking lots of plain water while you are sweating.
The low sodium level results in brain swelling, reduced consciousness then fitting.

For the main area, faucet water that meets federal and state standards often secure to drink. The bathe is in basic terms yet another outlet related to an identical plumbing equipment on your domicile. in case you drink out of your sink faucet then you definately can drink from the bathe. One understand warning, if the plumbing equipment on your house is previous or to no longer code, ingesting from the faucet may well be risky. Rust or black coloured, lead pipes (long outlawed), pungent, etc. must be prevented. in case you do have lead pipes, heat water is way less secure to drink than chilly. in case you have self belief your water is risky have it examined.

No nothing bad will come of drinking too much water - save maybe having to pee all the time and they can interrupt your schedule.

I was drinking close to two gallons everyday over the summer and had the softest skin and hair. But fall has hit and I do not drink near the water I do in the summer and my skin is getting dry

oh yes it can....

it's called hyponatremia or “water intoxication".

It's rare except among ecstasy users who tend to drink water constantly to combat heat and sweat...

It dilutes the sodium content in your blood and electrolyte levels.

It starts off as weakness and progresses through to brain damage, coma, and death.

OK, how do I get a thumbs down when all but one of the answers here are exactly the same? 'cause I mention drug use? It is most common in ppl that use drugs that raise body temperature. Anyway, here's a link to a short rundown on ecstacy use and hyponatremia.
