I live in the country at the back of beyond. There is a very popular pub/ resteraunt in the village that caters for people like myself who are rather better of than most. I ask the question about 4x4 drivers because most don't have any idea that these kind of cars are built to drive off road.
Hence when I meet one in my little sports car I object at being forced of the road.

If I am like most drivers, I hate it when the drivers of these Chelsea Tractors run up my bum when I am doing the limit or thereabouts. My little car is fast, but I care not to have a ticket for speeding. One of my mates did get even though... Waiting at a light, beside the one that had been tormenting, he rev-ed up, and when the light changed to 4X4 driver sped away, only to be quickly pulled over by a very friendly constable. My friend drove casually past... we still laugh over that one.
The worst ones are women though or males with especially small measurements in certain departments.... give them five a large engine, large tyres, and it is best to clear the road! Run over grannies on the sidewalk, if you must, but do not get in front of them!
Naw, not jealous, but incredibly wary!

why would you hate 4x4 drivers? not all trucks go off road because obviously you are older then most people who do off roading and its bad for the truck. i may just be a teen but i think yall dont understand the concept of any vehicle is to drive. i live in a high military and a kinda laid back area where you see alot of trucks and most are lifted. i myself date someone that has one and not every person with a truck drives like that on the road. yall drive yalls little sports car and try to act all big and bad so everyone else does. if i could i would have a truck. so why hate people who drive trucks? they are a vehicle just better then yours cuz you can drive it on and off the road. dont hate people with not as much money as some of yall. so maybe you should drive the little cars better and you wont have a big truck come up behind you. ever though about that one?

ok well i would like to say that i am highly offended by your rude comment.i drive a 96 chevrolet silverado Z71 4x4 and it is my pride and joy.its a fairly large truck. just because i drive a truck doesnt mean you should hate me.whats up with that. i drive a 4x4 because sometimes when it snows or i have to go through some deep water or mud or something it is nice to have 4x4 so i dont get stuck.i use my truck.and first of all rules of the road bigger man gets the right of way. i do the same thing. so what we have a truck that can run off the road but you also have to think if i run my truck off the road i can overcorrect it and flip it.my truck doesnt always fit on some roads right but just because your in a little car doesnt mean that i have to get out of your way.its a whole lot easier for a little car to move than a big truck. so mr. rich yankee dont even come down to the south because theres a whole lot more people down here driving big trucks than there are of people driving little sports cars.and dont go around stereotyping people in 4x4s because one day your *** is goign to get run off the road and your going to wish you had a 4x4 so you can get out of the ditch

Sounds like one of those 'envy' questions...which makes me think you must be British. Not too keen on anyone who buys a car just to show off, but like it or not - even in the much coveted SW3 area of London, some (not all) have a bona fide reason to have them. It's a wind-up thing heated up by the media. I remember the press joys of having a Triumph TR7 thirty years ago...but after a few years when bits started to rust and fall off, the jealous (and there was many) saw it as apt judgment. If owners of 4x4 vehicles feel they aught to waste money on fuel (and think of the insurance), then that is their right. As one said, maybe they buy such vehicles to hide certain - er - failures in life elsewhere, and/or have more money than sense.
A 4x4 is the ideal possession to up their importance - but as I say again...not all buy such things to impress. If, however the questioner is mentioning this on result of the people in Chelsea having them - well...it is London.

Are you another minority academic liberal that live's in London believes the country is too crowded and poluted, votes Labour and has no consideration for the Country folk who do not have the luxury of wall to wall transport facilities.
Or are you yet another conspirator working for :
HM Taxes. using any excuse to rake in more.
Your solution: Get out of the smoke a term first used when London was really poluted 'Yes' forget the crap by the lefties the air and the river thames are actually cleaner now than 40 years ago!!!
Is it easier to save the world by 'marching' in London which again actually created more polution!!!
The correct way is to allow Science to discover cleaner solution's which most of us agree with an increasein taxes to support that view, but like most wealth sharing governments they will just take the increase in tax to support more PC and doctrination of the marcher's.

Forget the crap fed to you by lefties, without the wealth creators the system will collapse, like the great USSR !!

No.

Hate is a strong word, to be used with caution.

I dislike inconsiderate road users, whether in 4x4s, sports cars, hybrids, mini-vehicles, or on bikes (motor or push).

Don't hate 4x4 drivers, (had one once myself) but do hate BMW and Merc drivers, they always try and intimidate you if you have a small car and come up close behind when in the outside lane to try and force you over, just because they have more power in their car. All BMW and Merc drivers please have some respect for others that can't afford a faster car.

Not particularly, but I do hate BMW drivers, white van drivers, old men in flat caps driving old Rovers, Chavs in baseball caps driving unbadged Novas with extreme bodykits.

And as soon as I have completed the restoration of my 88 Sierra XR4x4, you can hate me too!!!
