Because there are very few outspoken Muslim leaders here. The only one that comes to mind is Farakhan, and he remained strangely silent after 9-11.

Because they don't want to attract any attention.
If the people realize they are Muslims, they won't be heading any Studio nor living in Beverly Hills anymore.
They sure as Hell don't want that to happen.
Besides, they're probably cursing the Terrorists and wishing they'd go away.
