among java , c# ,php , vb.net

I have looked into this and have friends who are programmers and the research and my friends all say C# has the best job opportunites. C# is a newly used language so I would be sure that C# is the way to go.

I'm currently looking for programming work, and here's the breakdown I've seen:
1) Java
2) C# is still fairly new. Places that use a lot of Microsoft software are starting to go over to .Net, and they're picking C#.
3) vb.net (see #2)
4) PHP and Python are starting to be picked up in small little web development shops.

after getting into any org, you will work on other langs, .net,java and all. but one should have clear fundamentals of c

i have heard that c# has tremendous scope for career opprtunities, as mastering this lang helps a lot with other stuff of programming,
