OK, are the speakers plugged into the correct socket? Please check! Are the speakers plugged into power and turned on? Do that. Do you know what kind of soundcard you have or is it built in? (On the motherboard most likely ac97) Do you have a driver disc with your PC?
You can look for more information if you open the case and with a torch examine the motherboard and cards that are plugged into it. Window may also be able to help you if you look in Windows Control Panel and open the application Sound and Audio devices and on the Volume tab a short description of your sound device will be shown if you have one. Good luck!

If you are talking about installing drivers for sound then do one of the following:
1: if u cant see sound icon in the taskbar(lower right corner) and u cant hear sound. then go to control panel sounds and devices. from their you can unmute the sound

2: if drivers are not isstalled . put the CD supplied along with motherboard then run setup file.

3: if you dont have the CD then right click on my computer, go to properties, hardware, device manager. check the make of your motherboard. and search for the setup file on the internet.

Start. control panel. system. hardware. device manager. sound. Right click on everything on that list and up the driver one at a time. If that doesn't work come back.
Also, make sure your speakers are plugged in.

actully, I think you should install your sound card driver (if you have any). check the plugs and wires to see whether they are in right places. check whether your speaker is in mute mode.
Hope it helps :-)
