It is possible to be pregnant and have negative pregnancy tests.
I haven't had it happen myself but I have a friend who has 5 daughters and has never had a positive pregnancy test yet - either urine or blood.
She had a Dr one time treat her for a stomach tumour. She was doing all he said till he wanted to send her for an X-ray and she refused. He thought she was delusional. That tumour was a lovely wee girl named Shemay who was born 4 months later.
You have been pregnant before - I would go with what you feel - you know your body best.

Have you missed or are late for a period? This is a pretty good sign.
HPTs can give a negative result if they are performed too early or if your urine is very dilute.
This is because HPTs work by detecting the amount og HCG hormone in your urine. if there is not enough then it will come up as negative, but you could still be pregnant - it might just mean that the HCG level has not built up in your system yet.
Wait a few days and go and see your doctor. The hospital can do a blood test which is much more sensitive and accurate.

When you truly, truly believe you are pregnant, you will begin noticing that you have all of the symptoms. You could be imagining the symtoms, or you could be causing yourself to get them.
Personally, I would try taking one last home pregnancy test. Something that has been proven to be very reliable - like First Response. Test during the first flow of urine in the morning, as that is when hCG levels will be highest. If it still comes out negative, make an appointment with the doctor for a blood test or possibly an ultrasound. If that turns out to be a negative, see if your symptoms disappear. It is very likely that they will. If not, then you can make another appointment to find out what exactly is causing them.
Good luck :)

I read that it depends on whether or not implantation has occurred and this can be well after your period was due.
Once implantation has occurred, the pregnancy hormone starts being released and this is what you need for a test to pick up and show as positive.
I'm not sure how late implantation can occur after your period was due and so just take the advice of the professionals, keep testing every 48hrs. The hormone can be quite weak at first and so you may get negatives, then some weak lines then a positive.

Many times hpt's give a false negative because they measure the hormone levels in your urine. You may not produce enough of the hormone for the test to detect. Go to your ob/gyn or a Planned Parenthood in your area for a blood test which are more reliable than the urine tests and until you are sure that you are not pregnant behave as if you are (no smoking, drinking, drugs etc.).

I had all the signs and symptoms, the ones you mentioned and more besides, but the tests were negative until about 9 weeks pregnant (7 wks after conception) when a blood test finally confirmed it. Keep testing!

I knew somebody went through a similar thing once - who thought she was pregnant - and was totally convinced about it. But it turns she was experiencing what's known as a phantom pregnancy. It's kinda rare I guess, but that might be what you are experiencing. I would definitely go and have your doctor confirm your pregnancy test results again though, just in case. :-)

Other people have answered this very well already but I also think that you should see a doctor. If you're pregnant that's fantastic, but if you're not, you could have an underlying health issue which needs investigation. Best of luck.
