ok im almost 5 weeks pregnant and i feel im getting a cold, since i cant take anything what can i do. Im coughing alot and i dont want to hurt my babie. Is the Vicks Vaperizor or humidifier safe to use???

i cant add medications to the vaporizer? only the vicks liquid right?

a cool mist vaporizer is best, but don't add any meds to it, a humidifier will also work, as your ob if there is anything else you can do...btw coughing won't harm the baby in general

I went to the 1st guys website and that is almost exactly what I was told except that you are also allowed to take Sudafed. Good luck with that cold I had 1 a few weeks ago and it made me miserable

you can take tylenol(sp?) cold. they just prefer you til want until the 1st trimester is over because this is a critical time as far and development for defects and mental problems. ask your doctor. do som warm compresses on your face and neck. try a hot hot shower...not bath until you talk to someone.

yes you can use a vaperizor it can't hurt the baby since its only water and steam. good luck!!:)

See your OB/GYN. Do not self medicate. Only your Dr. can tell you for certain what you should or should not take.
