There are so many incredible loan programs out on the market today that, with good credit, can help you afford much more house than you ever thought possible. There are interest only loans, negative amortization, adjustable rates, etc. Mortgage financing is much more creative now than in the past. It's more risky with these types of programs than say a typical fixed rate mortgage but many people, like those you describe often take the risk to live in their dream home TODAY rather than years down the road. My husband owns his own mortgage company and he helps people get these loans all the time. You might want to check into it if it's something you're interested in doing. You know the old saying, "Where there's a will, there's a way!" It is definitely TRUE as far as houses go!

Know how you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice.

If you want to be wealthy, stay in school and get as much education as possible. Get good advice about ways to earn lots of money. Sales people are the ones who earn more than anyone else, the last I heard.

If you're still in school, you should know that almost every school--starting in high school and continuing throughout college--has counselors who can advise you about your education and career choices. They also have a variety of tests to measure your ability, training, and interest to help you narrow down the area that you most likely will excel in.

Most often, people are happiest and best in professions that they are truly interested in and have the talent for. It is unusual for someone to know what they're going to want to be doing for a living at 30 when they're 18.

If you follow your interests and are practical and have good advice, you should find your way to a fulfilling career and success.

BTW, very young people who have very expensive homes often have either large debt or inherited money or both.

It's so funny! I wonder the same darn thing every day!
My family owns a succesful business and we CANNOT even begin to afford a home like that!!!!!

Truth is, most people CANNOT afford these homes either. Most of these people only pay interest on the home and they never pay 1 cent toward the actual home. Another thing, is that these people can hardly afford to furnish these home and buy groceries. So, it all comes down to what is more important to you and your family.

Some of them may make good money though, I wish I was one of them! =)
