The occupation in Iraq and more Americans dying.
Anything else is a smoke screen issue to deflect attention away from this... Republican bag of tricks.

Given those two: The Iraq issue.
My #1 concern for the future health of this nation is out of control goverment (Congressional) spending. A budget that grows>40%since 2000 is just unacceptable, and no, it is not Iraq, but pork and health care that are the major targets for reform. Tax receipts have skyrocketed since the "tax cuts for the rich" and Congress is spending it all faster than it can be counted.
They are despicable.

Iraq is more important, we cannot leave them to fend for themsleves. Gay marriage is an issue but clearly a majority of the public is against it.

Both. I am against starting illegal wars for no reason, and I believe in civil rights for all people. I am voting so that the Democrats can take control of the House or Senate (preferably both) and put a halt to Bush's crimes. My vote will be a vote for the Constitution and for preserving our democracy.

I'm not voting, but the most important issue to me is the misinterpretation of any constitution -- U.S. or state -- that causes people on the left to think that gay marriage is a constitutional right.

Iraq. It is important that we finish the job and finish it well. I don't care either way about gay marriage.

I am not sure I'll vote although I know many people fought for my right to do so, but they thought my vote would count. If I do, I agree with Alan S.

If people want to marry someone, who am I to say no? It's not my business.
