We're from South Jersey, Our 51st State.

We're close enough to NYC and Philadelphia to go there if we need to but far enough away that we rarely want to.

South Jersey is really more like the South, but without all the religious fixations. Where we live, it's south of the Mason-Dixon Line, quiet, relaxed, largely rural, very unlike North Jersey (and yes, everybody from Jersey knows there are two states here, South Jersey and North Jersey).

The only downsides are that it's very expensive to live here and the traffic during tourist season will make you crazy. And some of the tourists from up north are a huge pain in the rectal cavity.

We've traveled extensively and love to visit many places but I'll leave South Jersey permanently only if:

1.Dead.

2. Dragged, kicking and screaming the entire way.

The state of confusion, and it's very humbling ;)

Okay, seriously (not that the above isn't true ...) one of the most gorgeous states in the US, Oregon!!

We have the most beautiful coast, as much of it is rugged and rocky ... and it's all public! Private beaches aren't allowed. Sometimes you have to look a bit to find the public access points, but once down on the beaches (or rocks, as it may be) it's all public access.

And then there are the mountains, both the coast range and the cascades, both are lovely in their own right. And the high desert in the eastern half of the state. Not to mention the rivers, lakes, streams, and everything else you could want!

I am from the state of California and it would be as beautiful as people make it sound. One thing the visitors of California don't know is that there is a lot of pollution in our water and it now makes me scared to swim at the beach. Most parts of California like Miami and Malibu have beautiful water but know that our governer is Arnold who is by the way a movie actor which makes me think that's why they voted for him. So there are two idiots one runs the united states and the other runs the californin goverenment. When I turn 18 I'm moving to Hawii

Nevada, I reside in the City of Sin- Las Vegas! It's a 24 hour party capitol, nobody sleeps, alcohol is served 24/7, tourists are every where, brothels are legal, and clubs here are insane. It's a great place to live when you are older (meaning of legal age) but in my opinion, it's not good for younger children. Nothing bad just more of a sort of party place! I like it because I'm still here!!!

Oregon
It's beautiful. From the ocean beaches to the montians, to the high desert. That and no sales tax!! And we don't have to pump our own gas, and no it doesn't make it cost more, its around $2.25 in some parts of the state, about $2.40 where I live.

I am from Arizona. The weather is mostly hot. It gets chilly during winter. I like that it does not have any earthquakes or tornadoes or anything like that. I have no idea what makes my stae unique.
