Vanessa Paradis helped me enormously in French class in 1987 with Joe le Taxi. It got me really into translating French songs into English and as a result I got an A in my o'level - so thanks Vanessa for that. Anyway I remember that Vanessa was very famous for being the face of Chanel. She seems to live a parallel life to Nicole Kidman with many similarities - both are actresses and singers, both have advertised Chanel, both have dated Lenny Kravitz....However as others have pointed out Vanessa snagged Johnny Depp and kept him while Nicole snagged Tom Cruise and lost him. Perhaps Vanessa will fall for a rough and tumble country singer and the world will come full circle - or not.

**They live together in France with their children, Lily-Rose (6) and John Christopher "Jack" (4).
**They own homes in the Hollywood Hills and in the South of France, and also own apartments in Paris and Manhattan.
**She is now promoting Chanel's "The New Mademoiselle" handbag line.
**Paradis is currently working on a new album expected to be released in 2007.

I may be confusing her with someone else, but I believe she's been hooked up and happy with Johnny Depp for about 7 years - not married, but they have 2 children.
