I was injured on the job around 1997, I worked meat/seafood in a supermarket. They had improper storage in the seafood area so ice and water collect on the floor.

So I was coming out of the cooler, slipped and landed with all my weight on my left side, onto a metal hinge for a pull cart they had.

Ever since then I have had a bad pain in my left side about my waist or lower. I went to the emergency room the night it happened because I almost passed out and was doubled over in pain

They did an X-ray and general exam and said I was fine, probably just internal bruising. I have mentioned to several doctors over the years and they poke at me in the side and say I am fine.

I can not sleep on my side, if some bumps into me I'm in allot of pain. Does anyone have any idea what can be wrong with me? I been out of work for a few months and went to an interview and was standing around for 3 hours, and it really aggravated the pain. I don't have insurance, so I can not afford a Dr right now.

You need to see a new doc and get a proper diagnosis. Your pain should not be going on this long. Since you are not working you most likely qualify for your state medical benefit help. Not sure what yours is called but in WI the program is called Badger Care. Check with your county's department of health and human services and see what kind of help is available for you since you have no insurance.
