My understanding is that absentee votes must be registered no later than 30 days prior to the election. You can't simply can't go the day before and ask for one. And it's not the county clerk who runs the election process but the local county board of elections. Your best bet to get the most accurate answer is to contact your local board of elections and ask for clarification. You can find the number in the "Blue Pages" of your phone book (the old fashioned way) or by going to your local government's web site.
The most important things is simply get out and vote!

great I can vote that way! Now what proof can you offer that the votes are counted legitamately? Or even counted at all! Maybe santa claus and the easter bunny help the tooth fairy count all the votes! Its probably decided well before and without the help of any common citizen scumbag. Offer me some sort of evidence to the contrary I emplore you!
