Maybe he is teething? If so, it's not that unusual. Just mske sure he is eating some and drinking and not running a high fever. They say to offer a variety of foods and give them choices at this age. They are asserting their independence and let them choose between a couple of things, or offer fruits and veggies cut up, cheese and crackers, grapes, things like that. A variety and they will get what they need. I won't hurt to go without food for a couple of days as long as they are eating. May be teething and cold fruit and carrot sticks and things feel good. Even fruit pops. good luck.

Normally my advice would be to not worry, a child will eat when they are hungry...BUT I found out that my 2 yr old and possibly my 9 month old both have food allergies. One of the clues can be that the child refuses foods (because they don't digest well, or other negative reactions). Consider having an allergy test done if it gets worse.

How long has the baby lost interest in food?

After growth spurts, mine would lose interest too and not eat much for a couple days then back to normal.

Sometimes lose interest when getting sick or teething.

I think he could be teething is he slobbering and does he put his fingers in his mouth a lot, they do tend to go off their foot when they are cutting a tooth, make sure he's getting plenty of milk and fluids.

Don't fret or push him...he'll eat when he gets hungry...just let him/her back from the table and try to feed him at a different time.
