Good Question!
1. Because they want an unbiased, unblemished or second opinion or assistance from someone other than their circle of friends or family.
2. Because we're more approachable than other people in their circle might be.
3. Because we're convenient and can provide almost instant answers.
4. Because people don't want to appear dumb, so they come here for a source.
5. Because some people can give you a different point of view.

In other parts of the forums, there are many looking for serious answers. Most want to be open minded and take suggestions and get others opinions, even if they are strangers. Some don't feel comfortable going to a parent or a friend or someone close, because they may feel embarrassed or something. Some just want to get others opinions and just have fun with Y!A. I don't see anything wrong with someone giving another an honest opinion, because those people may just help that person in need, and that's what this place is made for.

well you just relyed on some stranger by asking this ? because you just asked complete strangers: Why do people rely on strangers to answer their questions? and so just why did oyu in the first place ask this ? then you will recieve your answer! plus they might not have a life or no friends one of those!

I would wonder how many peole here are "relying" on the answer for something important.

Sometimes you need information and can't get it as quickly by talking to someone you know. Or, maybe it is something that you would rather talk about anonymously over the internet than talk to someone you see every day. Sometimes people need objective views on a problem.

Because we want to interact with other adults, it"s fun and I love getting picked for the best answer!!We all just need to share a feeling, a joke, a bad experience and the list goes on and on!!

Yahoo Answers is actually quite good, when you ask a question to three friends, chances are they will not know the answer, when you ask everyone in the world, someone is bound to know

because we are a disconnected world, and we don't know our own neighbors well enough to ask them. OR we juast want to hear what people ahve to say. btw stranger, i just answered your question!
