in certain areas. the weight of long hair on women over 40 can increase wrinkles in the face. in chemistry lab i have to tie my hair back otherwise it'd catch on fire, so it can be a health hazard i guess. also, hair products and oil can get onto the skin and cause acne breakouts.

I've got super-long hair and a weird tendency to get strange skin problems. I had a bacterial infection on my face a few years ago, and my doctor told me to wash my hair with antibacterial soap because otherwise the bacteria would just transfer to it and then back onto my skin. Other than that, I've never had a health problem because of it, and that doesn't really count, either, since a chin length bob would've given me the same problem.
