Therefore, the Opec member country IS CONSIDERED RELATIVELY INFLUENTIAL by many countries outside Opec. For example, the effect of its Opec membership can be felt during Asian Energy Meetings.

(I don't want to make it sound that the Opec member country can exert a certain influence in Asian Energy meetings, but I don't know other words other than influential, please help me)

I think it's totally CYA wimpy. You have passive voice (who is doing the considering?), it's not a fact -- it's only considered, and finally you use the wimp word "relatively."

"Mr. Bigshot from Outsiderland said in a Busyworld Magazine interview that the OPEC member country is relatively influential." This covers your *** in a far more authoritative way.

Also, "According to a March 2 Busyworld Magazine article, many countries outside of OPEC listen to OPEC Member Country's Name Here's opinions ."

Pin it on somebody, OK? You use more words, but they are words that actually contain some information!
(-: Good luck.

I don't think it is too forceful. In fact, the word "relatively" makes it a very mild statement. It is the second sentence that makes it sound as if the country is influencing Asian Energy meetings.

You could say: It is a member of OPEC and the Asian Energy meetings.

If you are not comfortable with that and want to change the word "influential" you could say "is considered one of the leading members by countries that are not members of OPEC."

Maybe rephrasing it would help:

There is a certain cache attached to being an Opec member country.

or

Many countries outside Opec nevertheless feel a respect for the united power of Opec member countries
