This might sound crazy, but the Philippines got the longest Christmas on earth, most of the people*not all(thinks that Christmas is near when the month of September arrives because of the snow melted from the north countries of the Philippines and the air will be colder. In our house we put Xmas tree by October or November.

I never do! I don't like Christmas too much! I give gifts all year long wether it's spiritual ones(MOSTLY) or material ones...And the people I love , I talk to them often, not just one day a year!
Christmas has become a commercialized thing to sell products , raise your credit card bill and then get depressed for the next 2 months paying it back.
I still praise the Lord Jesus, for this is his birthday and that's the only thing that really matters.Love all not once a year, everyday. And show it not with material, but with your HEART!!!

In our house it's a process that usually begins the weekend after thanksgiving. And were usually done the following weekend or will finish up the outside lights then.
My kids really love it too. I don't like to wait to late because it's so much hastle I want to be able to enjoy it before it's time to take it down again. Usually we do that on the 27th.

I want a saguaro cactus in my front yard that I can put lights on. I HATE decorating a tree! I usually put the thing up about a week and a half before. It comes down sometime in February when I decide I feel like taking the thing down.

I usually put it up Thanksgiving evening with my husband. It's always been like that, even while growing up with 6 sisters and 3 brothers. But, I probably won't put one up this year. It's just not the same after losing Mom.

while there is no youthful babies to get into the promises, we will placed some decrease than the tree until now, in any different case, like this year, none will circulate decrease than the tree until Christmas Eve. I war with the full what's/isn't from santa stuff too. final year I did it with the wrapping, stuff from santa all had an identical wrapping for all childrens, all promises, something have been wrapped in different paper & had that it replaced into from mom & dad on it.

we have a huge fake tree that leans to one side because of past kitties. my family has a tradition of putting up the tree on Thanksgiving day after dinner...so everyone is a little cranky and tired. Even after I got married we continued that tradition.
