I am not sure about RSV, I did have it, but obviously don't remember. I do know that I have some breathing problems and I seem to breath easier in the colder climates than when I am in the heat. Higher humidity helps me to breath easier too. Talk to her ped. about your concerns and they should help you find the answers...hope your lil one mends soon

Definitely get advice from your doctor. How old is your daughter? Our son was admitted to the hospital with RSV when he was 3 weeks old, and there was no way we were going anywhere because he was hooked up to oxygen for 5+ days. Your doctor can contact Dr's in the new area and give you references so that if your daughter has trouble, you have someone to contact.

RSV infections occur worldwide. Most children are infected at least once by age 2 and continue to be reinfected throughout life. In temperate climates, RSV infections usually occur in the winter. Peaks occur in January and February in the United States.

I am from minnesota. My son had RSV as well. I dont think that you have anything to worrie about. You will need warmer clothes and youll have a bigger heating bill but i dont think that the colder weather will hurt her as long as shes warm when you go outside. Welcome to Mud Duck land!

Ask your doctor. I'm sure it'll be okay though, you just need to go ahead and get a referal from your doctor for a new doctor in Minnesota so you'll know who to call when you get there if you have questions. Good luck

Heat makes it harder to breath than cold does. The colder weather should be better for her, but there honestly is not much of a difference.
Ask your doctor what he thinks, but otherwise I'd say go for the move.

Maybe contact a pediatrician from Florida, and tell them your situation. The only thing I would really be concerned about is the traveling & all the different weeds & plants that your baby could be allergic to that would not help his/her already respitory problems.

My main concern for you would be humidity.. Make sure you get a good humidifier for winter use. With our cold MN winters, indoor air can get very dry and cause more respiratory problems. That is about all I can think of different between here and Florida. Welcome to MN!
