Please help me on this...well it is kind of hard for me to think about this over n over again...i just know that my ex bf had a car crash..n i would like to convey my sympathy for him n his family..but when i think of it back again shud i convey my sympathy by texting him or not since i have promised to myself that i dont want to know about him till the day i die cos he's the one that dump me ...but when my silly friend told me bout this deep in my heart suddenly i felt sorry for him...i guess im kind of egoist

Well I don't know why he dumped you or any other personal info. But you two did have something for each other and cared about one another. So I think you could, because that is a tragic thing that has happen to him and his family. If he was a jerk to you and treated you horribly in your relationship then forget about it.

If he is in a car crash that is REALLY bad or, and you feel you should say something, maybe you should.
If its just a fender bender, I wouldn't.
I wouldn't text, though. If you want to give your sympathy, call to find out if he's okay. But texting? I don't feel texting, emailing, IMing is the best means of communication.
Do what is good for you. If you promised yourself you wouldn't talk to him then DON'T. However, you become a "better person" if while he dumped you, if YOU check on him/his family. Re think things and follow your heart on this.

if it was a guy who cheated on you with thirty women over the last month of your relationship you should still text him or send him a card just because you and he didn't work out doesn't mean you have to stop being a caring human being, you should always go with your heart in most matters, the head normally just gets in the way

I differ from most peoples answer because I was disabled in a car crash I didnt need some ex lover texting me or wanted it .I needed real help from real people who deal with accident victims the last thing on my mind was receiving love or sex .You gave him up leave him alone .

I wouldn't text him. I would send a card to let him know that you care about how he is doing.
Texting is too impersonal for something like that.
