You should also check the level of your brake fluid. if the level is low, the brake warning light may be trying to tell you something. This won't help with any acceleration problems though.

No Check your BRAKE FLUID it is low!! If you leave it and the brake fluid gets lower then your brake pedal will start going down to the floor which means you have air in the brake lies which need to be bleed!! See if you are missing a little or alot! If its little it is normal just add some fluid and the light will turn off if it is alot have it checked out by a mechanic you have a leak somewhere!! The ABS light only comes on if there is a malfunction at any of the for sensor at each wheel has nothing to do with the brake fluid!! Good luck!!

Check the brake fluid level first. If fluid level is fine check your e-brake cable. It could be broken or need to be adjusted. Take off the rear drums also. I had a 90 with the same issue. My problem was the cable snapped and the brakes were way out of adjustment

this means that you are driving around with your E brake on or their could be some thing wrong with the switch that illuminates the E brake light in your dash.

Look under the truck and see if your e-brake cable has tension on it if it does and the pedal is not pressed down then your cable is sticking somewhere. If it is loose then something my be broke at they rotors or drums.
