I really don't know. I have brown/black eyes, black hair, round face, and , I guess, normal-sized eyes. What type of makeup will work with me?

I would try this look if you really want your face to pop...
Always start with a foundation that matches your face completely then for a more dramatic look do a gold or bronze eyeshadow with a navy liquid eyeliner (if your new to liquid, invest in a black instead with a felt tip and practice, practice, practice!), then make a long line close to the lashline and extend a bit out and up -kind of an Egyptian eyelook, follow with mascara. If you really like makeup, line the inside rim with a black pencil. Then do a dusty rose or bright coral blush just lightly to contour on the outer cheeks and follow with a nude or soft pink non-shimmer gloss. It may sound a bit intimidating to be applying what seems like so much makeup but do not hesitate and have a look at the end result... have fun...

very similar to me... i dont wear too much makeup but i do even out my skin with a little bit of concealer and personally mixed tinted moisterizer. i'm asian so i have a yellow undertone but try a coral blush (cargo's big easy is my holy grail of blushes). Try purple tones for your eyes, i also like using pale beige gold or platinum for highlighting. I also love lining my eyes with black cream liners with clinique's like mink eyeshadow duo dabbed on top for smokey eyes. Curled lashes and mascara tops it all off.

It really is hard to tell unless you see someone in person.
Why don't you try going to a department store like Macy's, Sears. JC Penney's. They all usually have make up counters where they have staff who do make overs. or at least help you pick products and shades that are right for you.
Good Luck,
Kali :-)

P.S. I also like the answer (mel) gave.
