Home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate, and pretty cheap. Just get a generic brand test as they are all pretty much the same. There are differances, such as how soon they can be used and still be accurate. I'd suggest waiting until you have missed your period. I have also been trying for 4 years (going on 5) to get pg. For me, seeing a negative pregnancy test was more disappointing then just having my period show up.

Have you been to a doctor to get checked out yet? If the test is negative, or you start your period, you should def go to your doctor if you haven't already. 4 years is long enough to wait. I know how nerve racking it can be, but also keep in mind that this is cold and flu season, so your symptoms my be due to something other then pregnancy.

blood tests can be determined teh day of the test depending on how fast the lab techs are(I had and Hcg level done and got the results 3 hours later). Wait for the missed period and take a test. If you are dyeing to know right now, you can get pregnancy strips off earlypregnancytest(s).com and you can get like 20 of them for like $14.00 which is MUCH cheaper than the store things. And at least you can take one a day when you are getting close to your period. I got them and wehn i got a positive-I thought it was a bend in the strip, tested like 5 more that afternoon to make sure I wasn't seeing things!!

Hi Tracey, I would wait until you find out if your going to have your period. If you have no period,I would wait about a month then see your doctor. If you think you maybe pregnant, 2 weeks along isn't enough time to do the test.I truely hope you are with child and the baby is born health and happy. A Friend.

There is nothing more depressing than waiting for your period and then it shows up. Just go to the doctor and get tested for reproductive problems. It's probably something that can be corrected. Or it might be nothing at all; it just might not be time. That's all I can say. I'm 26 and my first baby is due in days. Good luck and don't worry.

The only way for you to know if you are ovulating is to take your basal body temp each morn, same time and before you get up. You should see a pattern in temps that leads up to and after ovulation. You can get the basal thermometer at Wal-Mart for about 8 dollars. I use a wonderful FREE website called Fertilityfriend.com...it graphs your temps for you, keeps track of your fertility signs, tells you when you ovulate and also tells you if there is an implantation dip in your temps. You can also use Ovulation prediction kits, but they only measure your LH surge and give you a ball park time for ovulation...they do not pin point it. Oh, and it is possible to be ovulating while you do not have your period, just like it is possible to have a period and not ovulate.

I found out at 4.5 weeks along by a blood test. This was after my EPT was positive. Just run up to the store and get an over the counter test. They are very accurate. There is 5 minutes wait time and it is cheaper. Good Luck

Well if you are not pregnant now then what you need to do is not have sex with your husband until the next time you are fertile. Just completely lay off. It will give you some time to relax and give him some time to build up enough of his stuff to impregnate you. The main thing is to not stress it. It will kill both of your sex drives then you really won't start out. Worked for me!!

If it is him.. Sleep with his brother or some guy, like a guy friend..
If it is you, see a fertalization specialist.
