Today I went to a wedding for one of my friends, and at the reception there was a guy who is a relative of the groom, and he was what most people would consider weird and saying odd thing and asking random people to go dance with him. People just stared at him like he was some freak and they just rolled there eyes.
Obviously, if some one is like that, shouldn't people realise that the person may have some problems? He was in Vietnam, and apprantly that's the reason why he's a little different.

People are ignorant and that's why they act superior, rude and nasty.
Next time be the change - be the first to accept the guy's invitation to dance. Show everyone else that there's nothing to fear - they're scared is all. Scared of what they do not know.

You mean he is Vietnamese that's why he's different? He was saying odd things, maybe his English isn't good enough and it came out the wrong way. I am Vietnamese myself and I know that language barrier can be difficult. Maybe this guy is trying to act friendly but just don't know how to approach people therefore people thinks he is weird.

my dad was a navy seal in vietnam. yea he prolly was f-ed up from that. i also have a sis who has a learning disability. i can say to date(i am 20) i have been in atleast 11-12 fights defending her from ignorent people.it seems the only way to make peopel understand is to beat the crap out of them. my dad was in a mental hospital after nam.i guess me and you are 2 of a dieing breed, the few kind hearted people left on this planet

It is ashame that people don't even bother to find out if there is a problem
before they criticize or make fun of someone else .
But it happens all the time .
I would make it a challenge to myself
to find some of those rude people
and tell them what they did .

Some of it comes from the way they are brought up. Some do it just to make themselves feel better about themselves. I see a lot of it out there. I am glad that you are not one of them God Bless you He probably has very low esteem. I guess we just have to try to ignore that type.
