I've heard that Aquarius is an air sign, but I've also heard that Aquarius is a water sign. With Aquarius being the Water Bearer, I'd assume water, but want to be sure.

It's an Air sign, definitely. So is Gemini and Libra.
Earth is Virgo, Taurus, and Capricorn.
Water is Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio
Fire is Leo, Aries, and Sagittarius.
Aquarius's symbol is the water bearer. Leave it to Aquarius to be just that unusual.

From what I think, Air sign can be a personality type Libra, Gemini, and Aquarius are intellectual, free spirited, and usually not emotional. Where as water signs like Scorpio, Pisces, and Cancer are dreamy, intuitive, and very emotional.

We Aquarians are of the air sign. The water bearer is just our job in the pattern of the horoscope. My husband is a Virgo, no way was he a virgin...and my ex was a Gemini but he had no twin...get it now?
