Hmmm! they understand you but don't get you. Aren't they the same thing. If not how do you get someone? Because if you use the phrase "i just don't get Mary sometimes" it means understand, right?
They probably understand you but just don't agree with you, which
makes it hard for them to understand why you are the way you are. Is this making sense to you lol. When people don't agree they find it hard to understand how you could not agree with them, not that they don't understand how it is you feel.
Well I hope this makes sense and don't worry so much about other people, they don't matter nor do they have to understand you, as long as you do and your happy with that than life is good. GGL

Seek first to understand, then to be understood. So get ready to understand----------
It is hard for older people to sympathize with younger ones who are going through tough times. The people who do not understand you appear not to understand because it has been a long time since they have gone through the same things as you, so they forget how big of a deal it is what you are going through and how you might feel. To them, they KNOW the answers and they know how trivial it is since it was so far back in their past, but they don't remember how important it was to them then.
So you need for them to understand you. Sit down with them in a mature conversational environment and explain to them that you need them to try to remember what it was like when they were your age and to think about why the issue is so important to you at this current time in your life.
Some issues such as homosexuality (not saying you are one) occur in families who think that it is wrong and cannot sympathize with what the person is going through and thinks of them as "irregular". Perhaps you have a situation where you are different than others. If that is the case, then it would be good to find others like you for support and understanding.
Best of luck, and remember to try to get in their heads and understand where they are coming from and why they might not be able to understand you.

I know what you mean. I think. I don't think anyone can truly understand another. They could understand but not fully.
You are you and no one is like you. You grew up with a different life, different home, different friends, different family etc... Even if they were your friends your whole life, they will never fully understand you because they are not you.
No one truly understands me. But I'm okay with that.

You need to be more specific about what you want! Your question is not specific! And look at your Avatars name, why are you so angry? Try and mellow out a little,I get that way sometimes, chill and try not to take life so seriously, go out and have fun!!

maybe if you calmed down instead of being so agitated like you are now on here they would take the time to understand what you're trying to say...
