Norton is useless. There's a good list of free virus removal tools here, also has some good info on how to avoid stuff like this.http://www.basicspywaretips.com/getridofspyware.html

First of all, you need to know that there are a few malicious programs out there that will attempt to trick you into purchasing their program. After buying it and scanning the computer, it will report that it has found particular problems like Movieland and has removed it for you and that all is well, which was nothing more than a lie to begin with. Yes, true enough, there are problems with Movieland because of it's abilities to hide on your hard drive where you cant find it, waiting for you to delete the program from your computer, and then installing itself onto your hard drive again. Go to google and in the search box, type in HiJack This. After downloading the free version, use the program to scan your computer and it will show you a list of items running on your computer. If you see Movieland on that list, check the box in front of it and delete it permantly from your computer. If you need further help, let me know. Larry RadioShack 01-9590

Norton should have the latest updates and be set up to automatically remove the virus. Or you can trigger the program manually from the taskbar. Both the Norton and McAfee web sites have extensive databases on the known viruses along with removal instructions.

First check your Norton settings and be sure your settings are set to take care of the virus automatically. Then do a full system scan and let Norton take care of it.
