There are a half dozen or so that are scattered around to the East of San Diego.
The two best by far are Viejas and Barona.
Barona is a resort located in the hills north of El Cajon. They have beautiful rooms, and a golf course. MY partial to this one because my husband helped build it, about 5 years ago. http://www.barona.com/
Viejas has lots of shopping outlets around the casino, but not a hotel, although I am sure there are some in the area. http://www.viejas.com/

All casinos in San Diego are on Indian Reservations. A friend works at Barona which was recently renovated, it fun but really far from the center of SD, about 30 mins. the drive there is also dangerous, as it is up in the mountain. I also agree with Pechanga being the best yet. They have a night club there called Silk. Its fun times there.

I was in San Diego last Jan-March. I was brought by a family friend in Pechanga Resort & Casino. It is even better & bigger than the casinos I had seen in Nevada. Though casinos in Nevada are the best, I think Pechanga will stand out also. Many people do go there. Big parking!

Barona, Viejas, Valley View, Dave & Busters, and I tihnk there's another one or two. Mostly are in the valley and mountains of San Diego.
