It's not all about who you lose to, it's also about who you beat. And Florida and Auburn have both played tougher schedules than Texas.
As mentioned, Texas's non-conference schedule outside of Ohio State is a joke (North Texas, Rice, Sam Houston State). They're also hurt by the fact that the Big XII is weaker than the SEC (hell, Vanderbilt could probably be 2nd or 3rd in the Big XII North).

i have no idea how the BCS computer works, but i agree.. texas has dominated most of their opponents this year.. including wins against some very tough big 12 teams.
for some reason, the SEC is considered the best conference, so having several wins against other SEC teams has helped inflate auburn and florida's rankings..
personally, i think arkansas is equally as good, if not better, than both FL and AUB. guess time wil tell.
at least we can look forward to an SEC title game and a big 12 title game.
i assume texas will win the big 12 title and do so with ease. .so that should help them get into a major bowl, if not the BCS title game.
i think all SEC teams will end up with 2 losses.. just too many tough opponents out there..

Great Question ,
I to am from Txas, but i trie to be unbiased. SEC schools have been getting hosed for the past 4 yrs. Auburn went undefeated, yet USC got the nod to play in the Championship game against OK. Florida, & Auburn play in a confrence were LSU Arkansas and Tennesse combined have 4 losses total.
Theyre strength of schedule against the Big 12 isnt even close.
As long as we(longhonrs) keep doing are part by winning , rest assure the powerhouses will lose again. their confrence is to difficult to go through.
I'd be more concerned with those good for nothings in the big east. Lousville is undefeated. They beat Rutgers, and youre gonna have a hard time telling the BCS they dont belong.

Yeah Auburn have been given beat via a RANKED Arkansas and then beat a RANKED Florida. observe the RANKED in there. this is a key situation to how a number of the factors are desperate with the BCS computers. Texas hasn't have been given any "high quality" wins and that is going to harm their score via the BCS. Oh and Ohio State KILLED Texas basically as undesirable as Arkansas killed Auburn, yet i assume you forget that because of the fact it wasn't final week.

Because Texas has a WEAK schedule.... I mean look at some of the teams they played: N. Texas, Rice, Sam Houston St, Baylor.....
I mean that's 4 gimme wins right there.

that is a VERY good question. it makes absolutely no sense to me. auburn and florida are barely beating sorry @$$ teams and Texas is winning against legitimate teams....on the road at that. auburn still has alabama and florida still has florida state....we'll be there. Texas Fight!!
