There is a condition called "Pyloric Stenosis", which causes vomiting (eventually projectile vomiting) and poor weight gain. It is typically diagnosed in infants 6-12 weeks of age and more common with first born males. My son had this condition and had to have surgery at 6 weeks of age. His main symptoms were no weight gain, dehyration and vomiting after every meal. He looked emaciated by the time he received surgery, barely had any strength anymore and weighed less than 6 lbs. Once he had the surgery (simple procedure) he started doing great and turned into a different baby withn a week or so.
Please keep an eye on this precious baby! It hurts my heart to know that he/she is suffering right now. Is there any way the baby can be seen by a pediatrician?

The baby got a clean bill of health. It is possible that the baby has pyloric stenosis. This is a condition where the muscle at the bottom of the stomach does not let the food go through. And then will cause vomiting. This should be looked into as soon as possible because it will cause dehydration and starvation if not treated. This is a congenital disorder. The baby is at the right age for this condition to show up. Most are 4 to 8 weeks old when they show symptoms of this.

Suggest to her that the baby my have reflux and that may be why it vomits so much and that the doctor should probably take a look. Also could be allergic to it's formula and the doctor could suggest a better one. This will at least get the baby back to the doctor. After 2 weeks and still having a hard time, it needs to go back in. I would hate to know what this poor little thing is feeling inside. Probably effects of drugs. This is sad, at least the little angel ended up with Dad and Grandma and not in a dumpster.....I wish all of these drug addicts would open their eyes!!!!!!!! Who could do this to an innocent baby?

You need to put the baby's needs first. Either the grandmother needs to take the baby to the doctor, or you need to call social services. If this baby dies, your going to have a lot of guilt on your head. Even though your not ultimatly responsible, you will feel better about the situation then.
I don't want to see the baby taken out of the grandmother's care, but there's a lot of people that can help her in the social service system so this child gets healthy and the help it needs.

first that baby is being mistreated .....what you NEED to do is call child services.....that baby is very sick and could die......do you what that on your head that you knew about it and did nothing to help that baby( who by the way did not ask to be born into this world and with a crack head for a mother). He needs to be seen by a DR he might have been healthy at birth but he is now a month and a half old. Think of it this way what would you do if it was your child please do the right thing......

It sounds like the baby needs help now, before it is too late!! Try talking to the grandmother and tell her to take the baby to a hospital or clinic immediately or you will be forced to call social services. The child is being mistreated if he/she is sick and not being given adequate medical care. You very well could be the difference between the life and death of this child. Please don't wait...

My baby puked alot because she had silent reflux. Sometimes it's not silent and baby's constantly are screaming. If this is not the case then I suggest you look into what that baby is eating. It should only be eating formula or breast milk at his age. Make sure if you are already giving him this food that it is fresh and the water is good. If none of this works, you must have him checked by a doctor or nurse so the poor baby won't be in pain. God bless.

I have a newborn and he's projectile vomiting on a daily basis and we just found out he has stomach reflux. He's on a prescription now and is doing soo much better. Before getting him on medicine the doctor recommended maalox and we were giving him .3 ml to help coat his stomach. Also, if the baby is on formula more than likely he could be allergic to milk. Hope this helps and let them know they need to go to a doctor is he is that small. Believe me I know because my newborn has been having a hard time gaining weight and now we have solutions! Good luck!

Could be many things, the baby needs to be taken to a pediatrician immediately. Vomiting is not normal, spitting up is though. We need more info on the baby and what and how much it is being fed. Babies need the basics, love, warmth, to be fed and a clean environment. Deprive him of any of these things and he will likely look likes he's in pain/unhappy.

The baby is being mistreated for not receiving medical attention, you take that baby to the emergency room. Its hard to tell what is wrong. He/she needs it right away. Either you have the guilt of taking the baby to the hospital or you have the guilt of the baby dying. Never assume there's nothing wrong!
